Niagara Falls, ON
Background:
The concrete on the Sky Screamer ride at Marineland had become cracked and damaged over time. The ride needed to be repaired to ensure the safety of the riders.
Challenge:
The challenge was to repair the concrete quickly and efficiently without disrupting the park's operations. The repair also needed to be strong and durable to withstand the weight of the ride and the forces exerted by the riders.
Solution:
Euclid Versa Speed, a fast-setting repair mortar, was used to repair the concrete. Euclid Versa Speed was chosen for its ability to quickly set and its high strength. The product was applied to the damaged concrete, and it was able to set within hours. This allowed the ride to be reopened to the public quickly.
Implementation:
The project began with the preparation of the damaged concrete. The concrete was cleaned and any loose debris was removed. Euclid Versa Speed was then mixed and applied to the damaged areas. The product was applied in layers, and each layer was allowed to set before the next layer was applied. Once the repair was complete, the ride was reopened to the public.
